dui 902237241 St. Patties Day DUI Checkpoints

Awesome. It’s St. Patties Day, our 2nd favorite drinking holiday behind Arbor Day. And there are only two things that can ruin a good St. Patrick’s Day. Roofies and/or a DIU. Drinking and driving is stupid and tonites the night you will get caught…check out how many DUI checkpoints are going up tonight…

The LAPD will put up Sobriety Checkpoints at the following locations..

March 17, (Wednesday, 6p-2a) W. Hollywood Sunset Area

March 17, 2010 (Wednesday) in Wilshire Area

March 19, 2010 (Friday) in North Hollywood Area

The Santa Monica Police Department will run a DUI roadblock tonight in the city of Santa Monica.

The Fullerton Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Friday night at an undisclosed location in the city of Fullerton between 8pm and 2am.

Orange County will be conducting countywide DUI roving patrols for the holiday. This means that even if law enforcement doesn’t set up actual DUI roadblocks, Orange County officers will be on the lookout for drunk drivers.

The Riverside Sheriff’s Department will conduct a DUI checkpoint in the city of Lake Elsinore at an undisclosed location Friday night in addition to DUI patrols tonight March 17th in the cities of Beaumont, Blythe, Corona, Coachella,  Moreno Valley, Murrieta, Norco, Palm Springs, Riverside, San Jacinto, and Temecula.

don’t warn them of DUI checkpoints..this is like aiding and abetting..we WANT drunk drivers caught. This announcement makes you an assessory to bad behavior..what would happen and how would you feel if someone at the radio station was hurt or killed cuz some drunken person saw the post and avoided being caught only to hurt someone ..someone you know and love!!..please quit posting these.its noe helping making the roads safer..THINK JACK, THINK!!

Did you read the article John?

    • john hough

yes..and if i were a partier..i would copy the post..and then i would know where the checkpoints are and share it with my drinking friends(cuz drunks do that..they share info) this is a tool to evade arrest and detection and aids and actually makes a game out of a serious matter..this info should be used as a tool of detection not avoidance..its a bad thing to print out a list..when your hunting law don’t divulge where the police are going to be..its like a football team publishing the “play book”,,its wrong period!!

The law is supposed to let everyone know where checkpoints are before they are set up. DUI checkpoints do nothing to stop Drunk Driving. They only collect taxes levied upon the people who wish to drink and drive.

It’s not supposed to help drunk drivers it’s supposed to discourage them from getting in a car on a night when the city will be filled with police looking for any one not following laws. Don’t you think there will be other police officers roaming the back streets too? Bottom line, drunk or buzzed drivers not only endanger themselves but innocent kids, mothers, fathers, people old or young. Could be someone you know. So be smart and just grab a cab or a designated driver. My sister was killed by a drunk driver and I never, ever drive not even buzzed or high. So please. Be responsible.

“We should never drink and drive, but I still like to know where checkpoints
will be in Orange County, San Diego, and LA. I may use calcheckpoint
