Yep, blame it on Yoko Ono. It’s always her fault. She broke up the band. Now Stone Temple Pilots and former Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland is saying the wives caused the demise of Velvet Revolver.
Weiland also blames jealousy between band members.
“Everyone was a rock star, ” Weiland told Details magazine. “Then the wives got involved with the business of the band, and that was the beginning of the downfall.”
Shades of Spinal Tap anyone? With the girlfriend drawing the bandmembers as their astrological signs?
Now Stone Temple Pilots are readying for their self-titled comeback disc, due this spring when they will be playing some festivals in Europe. Weiland says the band is clean…from the hard stuff. “No one does drugs anymore, ” he offered, “I still drink…I can have a scotch and not want to shoot up.”
See you at the bar, Scott.
