The Rolling Stones To Support Record Store Day With Song Release
You can’t always get what you want, unless you’re [lastfm]The Rolling Stones[/lastfm] and then not only can you get what you want, but you can also get other people what they want. To help celebrate Independent Record Stores everywhere, [lastfm]The Rolling Stones[/lastfm] are giving proceeds from a previously unreleased track to Record Store Day, April 17th.

The new song, “Plundered My Soul” will be featured on the Stones’ new rerelease Exile, which will hit stores on May 18th. However, Stones fans will be able to purchase limited edition 7” single of “Plundered My Soul,” before you can buy it with proceeds going to Record Store Day. Not only will you be purchasing great music, but you’ll be supporting a great cause.
In addition to [lastfm]The Rolling Stones[/lastfm] releasing an exclusive track for Record Store Day, [lastfm]Sonic Youth[/lastfm], [lastfm]Modest Mouse[/lastfm], [lastfm]Devo[/lastfm], [lastfm]R.E.M.[/lastfm], [lastfm]Soundgarden[/lastfm], [lastfm]Pavement[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Them Crooked Vultures[/lastfm] will be siphoning out tracks with proceeds to go to the cause. As well as, [lastfm]The Beastie Boys[/lastfm] who have plans to release only 1,000, secret 7” white label singles and have proceeds also go to Record Store Day. Sounds like a pretty good deal, eh?
