Soundgarden Kicks Off Reunion With Seattle Show
Nineties alternative band [lastfm]Soundgarden[/lastfm] announced they’d be reuniting for Lollapalooza at the beginning of this year, but their first show will not be at the music festival, but rather in their hometown of Seattle.
Keep reading for more information.
The show will go down on April 16th at the Showbox at the Market. It will be [lastfm]Soundgarden[/lastfm]‘s first show since headlining [lastfm]Lollapalooza[/lastfm] in 1996. It’s rumored that the band has been rehearsing the past few weeks, but the announcement of the last minute show comes as a surprise.
It is unknown if the Seattle show will be open to the public or not, but for now it is the only known of date set for the band to perform until Lollapalooza, later this summer. In addition to that, Soundgarden has yet to confirm if they will be playing any new material. They will, however, be releasing their first 7-inch vinyl single “Hunted Down” b/w “Nothing To Say,” which was first released in 1987, for National Record Store Day, also April 16th.
All we hope is that they make it past their Lollapalooza performance without breaking up again and maybe we can catch them when they’re back in LA again. Maybe.
