Over the weekend, bouncers ejected a drunken, shirtless Kiefer Sutherland from a high-class London strip club. Click on to see if it’s the same London strip club you go to.
At around 3 a.m., the star of TV’s 24 was forced to leave Stringfellow’s Gentlemen’s Club after removing his shirt as a hilarious joke. The gut buster apparently went over the heads of everyone except Kiefer himself, because instead of raucous laughter and claps on the back, the shirtless drunk got the old heave-ho. Sorry Keifer, you just ain’t pretty like that.
[pullquote quote=”He decided it would be very funny to take his shirt off. When it was explained to him very gently that, that was the job of the girls and not the customers, he burst out laughing.” credit=”club owner, Peter Stringfellow”]
Though photographs show Sutherland in a clear headlock, the owner claims in his blog that the bouncer had actually caught the actor by the head to protect him during a slip. Take note bouncers of the world, the best body part by which to catch a falling drunk is the head.
In any case, props go to the Brits for naming a strip club “Stringfellows,” as if it were a fine brand of scotch. In a related story, the kid who played Wesley on Mr. Belvedere was thrown out of “Jumbo’s Clown Room” for pocketing dance-floor singles and no one cared at all.
