Matt Stone and Trey Parker received their very own online death threat for portraying the prophet Muhammad in the 200th episode of South Park. Not cool!
[pullquote quote=”We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat but a warning of the reality of what will likely” credit=”RevolutionMuslim.com”] With further evidence that crazy religious fundamentalists still can’t take any kind of a joke, the website RevolutionMuslim posted a threatening message in response to South Park’s 200th episode. The story depicts the prophet Muhammad alongside other religious leaders such as Buddha, Moses, Joseph Smith, Krishna, and Lao Tzu as the team known as the Super Best Friends.
In all fairness, the prophet never actually appears in the episode but is cleverly disguised throughout as a nod to how up in arms certain folks get whenever Muhammad gets made into a cartoon.
What do you think?
