[lastfm]Green Day[/lastfm] will perform May 10 on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” in a week long promotional tribute to the re-release of the [lastfm]Rolling Stones’ [/lastfm] “Exile on Main St.” As Tweeted by [lastfm]Roots[/lastfm] drummer Questlove, the East Bay band will kick off a series of performances alongside [lastfm]Keith Urban[/lastfm], [lastfm]Sheryl Crow[/lastfm], and [lastfm]Phish[/lastfm]. On May 14, “Fallon” will premiere a new documentary about the making of “Main St.” titled “Stones in Exile.”
Read more for the details. “Exile” will be reissued on May 18 through Universal with 10 previously unreleased tracks from the original sessions. Such new tracks include “Pass the Wine,” “Plundered My Soul,” “Following the River,” and “Dancing in the Light.” The group will also offer a deluxe edition to include a vinyl album, a 30-minute DVD and a 50-page photo book.
Two weeks after their appearance on Fallon, Green Day will begin a summer world tour on May 29 at the Pinkpop Festival in Holland. The band’s musical adaptation of American Idiot is currently running on Broadway through September 4.
