Apparantely famed film critic Roger Ebert didn’t enjoy the new horrorfest “The Human Centepede: The First Sequence,” (which has released in some limited theaters this week) too much.  He gave the demented concept film ZERO stars out of four.

More on his critical backlash of the film after jump…

[pullquote quote="I am required to award stars to movies I review. This time, I refuse to do it. The star rating system is unsuited to this film. Is the movie good? Is it bad? Does it matter? It is what it is and occupies a world where the stars don't shine." credit="Roger Ebert"]

In case you haven’t read anything around the internet recently, “Human Centipede” involves a mad German surgeon who kidnaps three victims and connects them together in a mouth-to-ass medical procedure – hence the centipede formation. Ebert gave his rationale for his zero star review of this midnight movie masterpiece, saying,

I am required to award stars to movies I review. This time, I refuse to do it. The star rating system is unsuited to this film. Is the movie good? Is it bad? Does it matter? It is what it is and occupies a world where the stars don’t shine.

I think Ebert made the right call on this one.  “Centipede” is just a sick, vile operation and where is the entertainment in that?  Can you even classify a score?  Sadly, his film review might inspire more curious filmgoers to seek out this grotesque film.  For example, if you had heard a film that was so terrible you might be more inclined to see it.  Would YOU see this film?
