Well it looks like “Another One Bites The Dust” as rock legends [lastfm]Queen[/lastfm] have chosen to abandon their relationship with record label EMI. This isn’t the first major artist to leave EMI in the face of their incredible financial problems.

A spokesperson for the band explained that the move was made after it became clear to the band that their needs would not be met by the record label, saying:
EMI just decided they couldn’t compete. It was too much to pay and they want to spend that money on developing new talent.
[lastfm]Queen[/lastfm] follows Paul McCartney and Radiohead in a decision to put an end to their relationship with EMI. [lastfm]Queen [/lastfm] has moved from EMI to Universal, and let’s hope they get everything they ever wanted and more. Or least not some lofty excuses about new artists, common, they’re [lastfm]Queen[/lastfm].
