This show is mondo-epic, supported by the fact Cranston has won back to back Emmy’s for his role in this show. For fans of: The Wire, gritty reality based dramas.
True Blood– Sunday’s @ 9pm on HBO
Thank God for HBO for rolling out new seasons of their shows in the summer when there’s nothing else on. We enter season 3 of the Sookie Stackhouse vampire drama and oh boy..this season? Enter the werewolves. For fans of: non-sparkling- can’t-walk-around-in-the-daytime-like-stupid-Twilight vampire based fiction. Season 3 premiere June 13th.
Spartacus: Blood and Sand-Friday nights on STARZ
Oh dear God, if you missed season 1, do yourself a favor, find it on-line, Netflix it, do what you have to do to catch this Roman Empire period piece. Right now, a prequel story to season 1 is in pre-production while Andy Whitfield, the actor that plays Spartacus, recovers from cancer treatment. The 6 part prequel is slated for a tentative January premiere. For fans of Rome, violence and ceaseless nudity.
Sons of Anarchy– Wednesday nights on FX
Cable televisions #1 show averages about 5 million viewers a night and that is huge. What’s not to like? A TV show about a biker gang in California loosely based on Shakespeare’s Hamlet starring Katey Sagal AKA Peg Bundy? So in. You should be too. Season 3 is rumored to start sometime in the late fall.
