The show consisted of a plethora of Bon Jovi’s hits that span their incredible songbook and ended with a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” They even had an encore of their mega hits “Dry County,” “Wanted Dead or Alive” and “Living on a Prayer.”
The Meadowland Stadium will replace Giants Stadium and will be the new home of Super Bowl. When asked about getting the chance to kick off the opening of the brand new hometown stadium Bon Jovi said;
To be in a band is every kid’s wildest dream. To be in a band that makes a record is every kid’s wildest dream. To be in a band that gets to a level that surpasses your heroes – its beyond comprehension.
Also surpassing expectation is Bon Jovi’s physical appearance, the 48-year-old singer doesn’t look a day over 30, maybe it’s something in that Jersey water. Go figure.
