[lastfm]Rage Against the Machine[/lastfm] frontman, [lastfm]Zach de la Rocha[/lastfm], who will protest just about anything, is back at it again opposing a recent bill that has been passed in Arizona. If you’re thinking what we’re thinking, then you probably just uttered, then you should just stop thinking it. That’s dirty!

Notable non-conformist [lastfm]Zach de la Rocha[/lastfm] is protesting the passing of the SB 1070 bill which allows police in Arizona to challenge anyone they suspect of being an illegal immigrant to prove their citizenship, and he is not alone. The Sound Strike, de la Rocha’s protest group, has received support from big name artists like [lastfm]Kanye West[/lastfm], [lastfm]Sonic Youth[/lastfm], [lastfm]Rise Against[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Massive Attack[/lastfm], among others.
The bands have stated that they will not play any gigs in Arizona until the SB 1070 bill is amended. Sucks to live in Arizona. Not only do citizens have to put up with 100 plus degree temperatures, but now they can’t even see some of their favorite bands perform in their state.

Well Zach, it has to start somewhere, it has to start somehow. What better place then Arizona, what better time than now, right?
