Bachman-Turner Overdrive Member Charged With Sexual Assault of a Minor
One of the great things about being a rock station like Jack FM is getting the chance to rub shoulders with notable musicians and events, like when we were invited to speak with classic rock band [lastfm]Bachman-Turner Overdrive[/lastfm], who will release their first album in 20 years, later this year. The problem, however, is that sometimes we forget musicians are human, with flaws just like us. Well, not just like us. We don’t assault minors. Um, creepy!

[lastfm]Tim Bachman[/lastfm], of the band’s founding members, was formally charged with sexual assault, sexual interference with a person under the age of 14 and touching a young person for a sexual purpose. According to reports, the incidents began a decade ago when the accuser was 11 years old, until she was 14.
Bachman, 58, turned himself over to police in May after a warrant for his arrest was issued. He has since been released, and is due in court July 5.
