Could The World Cup Reunite The Gallagher Brothers Of Oasis?
The state of British rock band [lastfm]Oasis[/lastfm] is anything but, with dueling bros Liam and Noel Gallagher unable to even appear in the same room together without a couple of insults and punches thrown down. But Argentina striker Lionel Messi has a proposition that could resolve the worst of sibling rivalries and get the band to reform for a special performance.
Can Messi get the brothers to just get along?
World Cup star Lionel Messi is apparently such a huge [lastfm]Oasis[/lastfm] fan that he is offering the Gallaghers to “name their price” to play a celebration concert if Argentina wins the World Cup.
He added the team is pledging to get the Gallaghers to set aside their differences long enough to play the concert if they win the competition saying,
“I showed the rest of the boys in the Argentina squad their stuff and I promise you, everybody absolutely loves it. A few knew a couple of their songs but for most of them it was their first listen. We have agreed that if we win the World Cup we want to fly them over to Argentina for our celebration party. We just need them to name their price.”
Messi psyches himself up before games listening to the band’s hits including “Supersonic” and “Live Forever.” Here’s to Argentina winning the World Cup just so we could possibly look forward to an [lastfm]Oasis[/lastfm] reunion.
