There’s [lastfm]Slash[/lastfm], [lastfm]Bono[/lastfm], [lastfm]Prince[/lastfm], [lastfm]Sting[/lastfm] and then… there’s Samwell. Who? He’s the creative genius behind (no pun intended) Internet sensation “What What (in the Butt)”, which was famously parodied by Butters on South Park.
And now [lastfm]Josh Homme[/lastfm], lead singer of [lastfm]Queens of the Stone Age[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Them Crooked Vultures[/lastfm], teamed up with Tosh.O to cover the famous track and spread the love.
So bust out your glove and rev up your salivary glands, ’cause it’s going to be a bumpy ride!
Honestly, the original track and video are more entertaining than the cover, but we greatly appreciate Homme‘s humor and playful attitude. And especially Samwell for not taking the joke personal and letting us laugh at the blatantly honest lyrics many of us think, but very few of us say.
As Homme put it: “What What (in the Butt)” is not only a real question, but it needs an answer. And the answer is, let’s do it in the butt. It’s okay.
But the real question is: Of the three versions, who did it better?!
