[lastfm]Sugar Ray[/lastfm] frontman Mark McGrath and his fiancée Carin Kingsland were recently photographed with their newborn twins for People Magazine. In the interview, the 42-year-old rocker discussed the impact the children had on him, and the issues the couples had with conceiving.
Learn what the rocker had to say below!
Of his 8-week-old twins, Hartley Grace and Lydon Edward, McGrath said of his bundles of joy:
“She’s so precious, just a princess. And he’s my little dude. Their birth was the greatest moment of my life.”
He added, “People say Lydon looks like me, and Hartley has a Latin flavor to her — she’s got darker skin and big beautiful lips like Carin.”
The couple plan to teach the twins both English and Spanish like Kingsland, whose mom is from Panama.
And because they could not conceive the good, old-fashioned way — McGrath suffered from testicular torsion as a child, and Kingsland lost an ovary to a tumor at age 11 and suffered from fibroids and polycystic ovary syndrome — they turned to invitro fertilization.
He might be a tatted-up rocker, but McGrath had no issue admitting his sweet side saying:
Not to be cheesy, but you get really gangster about your relationship now, like this is my family. There’s a bond that the four of us share that nobody can mess with.
Aww, that’s sweet. Even bad boys grow up! Although, McGrath wasn’t ever really a bad boy, so much as a pretty boy with tattoos.
Congrats to the happy couple!
