As recently as January, the rest of [lastfm]Aerosmith[/lastfm] had been talking about replacing lead singer [lastfm]Steven Tyler[/lastfm], while Tyler talked about a solo album after emerging from rehab.
But as the band’s “Cocked, Locked and Ready To Rock” tour gets ready to kick off, everyone seems to be back at peace.
“The [expletive]-yous run deep in a band like [lastfm]Aerosmith[/lastfm],” Tyler said, “and the best part about it is the make-up. We live to be on stage with each other and play — because we don’t really know what else to do, to be honest with you!”
The band will play 18 North American tour dates, starting July 26th at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine.
“We’ve been pulling out some of the old tricks that we used to do back in the 70s, only now it’s a lot better because we’re in a lot better shape,” guitarist [lastfm]Joe Perry[/lastfm] said. “I mean, we’re in the best shape we’ve ever been.”
