[lastfm]Bono[/lastfm], singer. A man injured in rehearsals for a worldwide tour. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world’s first bionic man. Bono will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster.
We promise: No more Greatest American Hero jokes and the details regarding the rescheduled U2 tour dates after the jump!
The [lastfm]U2[/lastfm] frontman credits his recovery from back surgery to his German doctor team, saying, “I’m ready, rebuilt by German engineering. Better design, I’m told.”
In a video message to fans at U2.com, Bono described his current state, saying, “I”m very well. I can sit. I can stand. I can move about a bit. Feeling strong, feeling confident, you know what I’m saying?”
As we told you earlier this week, U2 announced the make-up dates for the canceled North American leg of its “U2 360” tour. The Irish superstars will return to southern California on June 17th and 18th, 2011 for a pair of shows at Angel Stadium.
Check out the message, including an apology and thank you from Bono:
