Mike Tyson, the world’s most famous ear-biter and tiger-keeper (oh, and at one point the most dominating heavyweight boxer since Muhammad Ali, too), is a vegan.
Of course he is.
Why did Mike leave meat behind? And what happens when he slips up on his diet? Find out after the jump!
Tyson has been going strong on his vegan diet for eight months now, and he’s not looking back.
“It’s been eight months with this vegan stuff, but I get these explosions of energy,” he told Details Magazine. “I don’t know how long they last, but they’re like explosions. So powerful.”
Could he do it forever?
“Maybe so,” he said. “I’m pretty f—ing extreme. … I ate, like, the tiniest piece of meat, and I woke up violently sick. It was vicious pain. I was throwing up. And I realized meat’s become a poison for me now.”
The Details interview also touches on his boxing career and what he learned while in prison, but let’s be honest: We’re telling you about all of this just for this picture:
Come on. It’s Tyson kissing a bird!
