For all you gamers looking for a new story-themed quest while still keeping a hard rockin’ edge, prepare yourselves for the epic release for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. Mixed with a one part The Legend of Zelda, one part classic Guitar Hero premises, Warriors of Rock will satisfy any gamers fascination with interactive- action gaming.
The new installment of Guitar Hero will include a quest mode featuring the ultimate guitar shredders, [lastfm]Rush[/lastfm], for guitar hero wannabes to tackle their 2112 album in its entirety.
If this doesn’t sound awesome enough for you so far, just wait until you hear Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson explain the game’s story themselves.
In the new quest mode feature on the upcoming installment of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, players will take an epic journey in order to find the Demi-Rock God’s Legendary guitar and become the savior of rock ‘n’ roll. This visual adventure will be accompanied by Rush’s seven-part album 2112, which players shred through its entire 25 minutes of greatness while on the quest.
“In our story, the caves of 2112 are where our hero finds the lost guitar,” says Lee. “This rediscovery of music is much like the Guitar Hero warriors’ journey to find the Demi-God of Rock’s Legendary guitar, which has been trapped in a cavern.”
Rush’s 2112 album influenced many parts of the upcoming game, including Rush-inspired cave venues and a visually stunning “Star Man.” Warriors of Rock is also the first in the series that features eight playable characters that morph into rock warriors after players unlock challenges.
If you aren’t hopping up and down in geeky delight just yet, let Geddy and Alex pump you up and prepare to transform you in to a rock warrior.
Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock will make its epic debut on September 28.
