Leave it to Will Ferrell to make a colorful commentary on California’s hottest topic on Late Night With David Letterman, promoting a little more than his new movie, The Other Guys.
Last Monday, Ferrell appeared on David Letterman to promote his new movie, The Other Guys. Within minutes, his surrealist, deadpan sense of humor took over the segment as he told Letterman he would be replacing Catherine Zeta-Jones in A Little Night Music. Grabbing a mic and dawning a robe, he crooned “Send in the Clowns” as he climbed into bed.
As if that was not enough, Letterman decided to join Ferrell under the covers! O.M.G. Some say blasphemy, but we here at JACK can read through the lines.
Ferrell was obviously making a commentary on California’s new Prop 8 Mandate. And if Ferrell represents California, Letterman obviously represents New York. When the two men shacked up, it obviously meant that California is seducing New York into same-sex marriage legalization! Obviously.
Or maybe the two comedians are just reminding us that when you can joke about it, it really isn’t that taboo after all.
