[lastfm]Courtney Love[/lastfm] must have laid off the good stuff and taken her meds, because—for the first time in a long while, she actually makes a logical and sound argument. Her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, however, might not be as supportive of her attention-loving mother’s new-found clarity.
In yet another loving, parental gesture, [lastfm]Courtney Love[/lastfm] recently opened her chicken lips and told the world her daughter’s monetary value.
The only child of Love and the late Kurt Cobain, the 17-year-old gets $480,000 a year from her father’s estate. Evidently, her mother—the responsible, dedicated one who lost custody of her daughter—thinks that’s too much money for a young woman, and worries Bean will blow it on drugs. She said:
She lives in a mansion by herself. A 17-year-old getting $40,000 (£25,416) a month is outrageous to me, that’s on top of them paying for the mansion. It’s a lot of money for a normal person. It’s enough money to kill her, if she is doing drugs. Enough money to be gone by the time she’s 22.
To consider a 17-year-old is capable of blowing through money is with merit, but when one considers Love’s self-serving past, there exists the possibility her concern has less to do with her daughter’s spending or drug use, so much as she just wants to get a hold of the money for herself. “Oh, let me balance your checkbooks for you, my dearest daughter!” Riight. More like, “Yoink!” Next thing you know she’s back on Twitter slurring via texts.
More importantly, when did Frances Bean get kinda hot? Anyone? Bueller?
