There are a lot of impressive numbers in the career of Rod Stewart: 25-albums, more than 100-million singles sold, 12-number one albums in the UK or US. But maybe the most important number to the man, not the singer, is now going to “eight.”
Rod Stewart, at the age of 65, is going to be a father. Again!
Stewart and his wife, Penny Lancaster, are expecting a child in early 2011. In a statement from the couple details were leaked:
Penny and Rod were lucky enough to be celebrating more than just their third wedding anniversary in June, as the news came that Penny was pregnant with their second child. We were thrilled and delighted to be able to tell Alastair that he was going to be the big brother to a little baby, expected just before Mummy’s 40th birthday.
The child will be the couple’s second; the aforementioned Alastair turns five in November. Stewart has four children from earlier marriages and two from prior relationships.
Congrats to Stewart who, at 65, is evidently still sexy:
