It’s been less than six weeks since Gregg Allman left the hospital after a liver transplant, but the band is already preparing to get back on the road and perform – and Allman himself is readying a pair of solo concerts!
[lastfm]The Allman Brothers[/lastfm] will be headlining its “Evening With” series on November 18, with three nights in Boston at the Orpheum Theatre. Before November, though, [lastfm]Gregg Allman[/lastfm] will be playing solo shows at the New Brunswick’s Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival on September 15 and 16.
“I’ve been itching to play since I got the operation,”[lastfm]Gregg Allman[/lastfm] said in a statement. “Can’t thank everyone enough for their help and support.”
The Boston shows are the first ones announced of the “Evening With” tour. More are expected, focusing on intimate East Coast venues.
If the [lastfm]Allman Brothers[/lastfm] made it to Los Angeles and were looking for an “intimate venue” to play, where would you suggest? We’re thinking of our own Orpheum Theatre downtown:
