Need eight more versions of the same, sad [lastfm]Morrissey[/lastfm]song you just replay over-and-over again anyway? The Moz man is re-releasing a remastered version of his 1988 hit single, “Everyday is Like Sunday” so that we can weep over lyrics like “how I wish I dearly was not here” with the aid of multiple versions of modern, digital technology.

In what is obviously a ploy to attract the crazed [lastfm]Morrissey[/lastfm] fans with fistfuls of collectibles, the single will be available September 27th on CD, on two 7-inch vinyl records and as a digital download.  On top of having the 2010 digitally remastered version of the song, each item will have different b-sides and live songs.

Below is the track-listing for Everyday Is Like Sunday:

CD Single:

“Everyday Is Like Sunday” (2010 Digital Remaster)
“November The Second”
“Everyday Is Like Sunday”
“Everyday Is Like Sunday” (Top Of The Pops, June 9, 1988)

7-Inch Vinyl Version 1:

“Everyday Is Like Sunday” (2010 Digital Remaster)
“Trash” (Live at Irvine Meadows, CA, 1991)

7-Inch Vinyl Version 2:

“Everyday Is Like Sunday” (2010 Digital Remaster)
“Everyday Is Like Sunday” (Live At The Hollywood Bowl, June 8, 2007)

Digital Download:

“Everyday Is Like Sunday”

And here’s the original.

Something about a song so sad makes us so incredibly happy.
