Brandon Flowers Previews Solo Material At The Troubadour
We’re now under four weeks out from the release of [lastfm]Killers[/lastfm] frontman [lastfm]Brandon Flowers[/lastfm]’ first solo album, Flamingo. That means it’s time for the promotional machine to kick into high gear, starting with a 45-minute album preview set last night just up the road at the Troubadour in West Hollywood!
Flowers ripped through 11-tracks during the set – nine of the ten that will compose Flamingo, “Losing It” by [lastfm]The Killers[/lastfm] and a cover of “Bette Davis Eyes” by [lastfm]Kim Carnes[/lastfm].
The audience went along for the ride, despite not knowing much of the material; by the end of the evening, it was even singing along with Flowers on the whoa-whoa-whoa coda to “Playing With Fire.”
Highlights from the show are spreading across YouTube, including a version of “Crossfire.”
Flamingo hits stores on September 14.
