“Bed Intruder” Song Goes Punk

hayley williams2 Bed Intruder Song Goes Punk

What started off as a furious rant by Alabama resident, [lastfm]Antoine Dodson[/lastfm], was turned into the auto-tuned, iTunes hit, “Bed Intruder Song,” and is now being covered by [lastfm]Paramore[/lastfm]’s [lastfm]Hayley Williams[/lastfm]!

Dodson appeared on the local news in late July, angrily warning fellow residents about an alleged rapist

He’s climbing in your windows.  He’s snatching your people up, trying to rape them; so y’all need to hide your kids, hide your wife and hide your husband, because they’re raping everybody out here.

Once the [lastfm]Gregory brothers[/lastfm] (team behind [lastfm]Auto-Tune the News[/lastfm]) got a hold of the video, they turned it into the internet sensation, “Bed Intruder Song.”

The song debuted at No. 16 on iTunes charts and has since made the boys and Dodson, what he calls, “a nice amount of money.”

As if that’s not unbelievable enough, Hayley Williams, [lastfm]New Found Glory[/lastfm]’s Jordan Pundik and [lastfm]Relient K[/lastfm]’s Ethan Luck have just released a punk-rock cover of “Bed Intruder” via YouTube.
