Say what you will (or, scream it while plugging your ears as you hear “California Gurls” for the 4,000th time OHMYGODMAKEITSTOPPLEASE) about [lastfm]Katy Perry[/lastfm]’s music, there’s no question she’s very, very easy to look at. But the pop tart might be shattering the dreams of some with her slightly-more traditional choice of wedding dress.
Rumors began to surface in British tabloids in June about [lastfm]Katy Perry[/lastfm] opting for a latex wedding dress when she says “I Do” to comedian Russell Brand. But Perry put those rumors to rest in an interview, saying, “I’m definitely not going to get married in latex. … When I wear latex onstage, I sweat. I could wring out those dresses – and I don’t want to do that at my wedding.”
While the dead rumor might have sounded outlandish, it’s not like [lastfm]Katy Perry[/lastfm] has ever been known for sane wardrobe choices. She’s been known to sport a dress made of half an American flag and half a British one to show her newly-split loyalties.
“I feel very divided,” she says. “I’m half American and half English, in a way. I thought it would be fun to make a what-I-feel dress.”
For us, Katy can wear whatever – and as little of it – as she likes.
