Everybody cheer! [lastfm]The Red Hot Chili Peppers[/lastfm] make the greatest announcement of their lifetime!
RHCP’s lead singer, [lastfm]Anthony Kiedis[/lastfm], was recently asked if he would allow his music to be used for FOX’s hit high-school-musical-esque television show, [lastfm]GLEE[/lastfm]. After Anthony kicked the microphone out of the reporters hand and caught it in his teeth, he and Flea confessed they had never heard of the series.
Booyah! Adding insult to injury, the Kiedis goes on to claim:
“Honestly, I don’t know about Glee. Nothing against Glee or any of those American Idol type shows, but you know … music that is near and dear to our hearts and the people we wrote it for and play it for, it doesn’t make sense to be seen in a television format. It seems emotionally displaced.”
That’s right, [lastfm]Glee[/lastfm]. Stick to bands that don’t mind their music being taken out of context, like [lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] and KISS. Wait, [lastfm]KISS[/lastfm] did Glee?! Ah man…
