Meet the New Supergroup, Black Country Communion

The Supergroup, Black Country Communion

Black Country Communion looks to be the next big supergroup. Combining pieces of classic rock firepower with prog-rock ingenuity, we’re excited to see where this music could go.

Black Country Communion is comprised vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes ([lastfm]Deep Purple[/lastfm], [lastfm]Black Sabbath[/lastfm], [lastfm]Trapeze[/lastfm]), drummer Jason Bonham ([lastfm]Led Zeppelin[/lastfm]), Derek Sherinian ([lastfm]Dream Theater[/lastfm]) and blues rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa.

The much anticipated rock album is set to be released on September 21, 2010.

We really can’t remember the last time we were this excited for a supergroup since [lastfm]Chickenfoot [/lastfm]formed back in 2008. If you haven’t heard their music, check it out. Red Hot Chili PeppersĀ meetsĀ Van Halen.
