First, America was obsessed with witches and warlocks. After that, it was time for the vampire to rule Hollywood. Always close behind were the undead, and with The Walking Dead it seems that zombies are the newest monster craze.
Seems like there is a pattern evolving. If we’re as good as we think we are when it comes to predicting fads and trends (who do you think brought that Zuba craze to an end?), we think it’s safe to say that the next logical step in creature fads would be the return of the alien.
It would seem we were right.
Battle: Los Angeles is an upcoming flick being pitched as a combination of “Black Hawk Down” with aliens.
Uh, yes please.
A war film at heart, Battle: LA promises to deliver. First and foremost, the movie is based on the speculation surrounding the WWII conspiracy theory regarding “The Great Los Angeles Air Raid”. In case you’re unfamiliar, mystery surrounded the story of an anti-aircraft attack by the Japanese which the U.S. denied, saying the unidentified flying objects were “rogue weather balloons.”
Hmmm, shady indeed.
Battle: LA takes the position that the UFOs were indeed alien aircrafts, and in 2011 they return.
Check out the preview below. We think it looks badass. What about you?
