They seem to think so. And who wouldn’t? [lastfm]Duran Duran[/lastfm] is responsible for some music’s most memorable seizure-inducing synth pop. In fact, in our time capsule, we have some neon scrunchies, cloth leg warmers, Squirt soda and a copy of “Hungry Like The Wolf”. We challenge anyone to come up with a more beautiful spread of 1982.
Since then, Duran Duran has released multiple single and albums, climbing up and down the chart as if it were a game of Chutes and Ladders.
Now with 2011 on the horizon, the band claims they have crafted their most impressive album of their career.
Their thirteenth album to date, All You Need Is Now promises to be reflective and destined for greatness. With such pride of their musicianship and artistry, Duran Duran looks to redefine what it means to craft an album.
Not only will All You Need Is Now feature all new material, each song will come accompanied with it‘s own music video.
“One thing I can say is that we will be making videos for every track on the album, which is something we certainly haven’t done since the very beginning. We feel that visual material and content now is actually becoming of value again.
“Because of our background being not just music, but art, fashion, design, technology, we are looking to do something more extraordinary with this album. I hope that they will be thought-provoking, modern, funky, funny and emotional.”
Thought-provoking, huh? What kind of thoughts does this video bring to mind?
