[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Elton John[/lastfm] is taking a step away from his piano to be a guest editor for The Independent, a British newspaper. The issue runs on December 1, which is World AIDS Day.  All the proceeds will be given to Elton’s AIDS foundation.

With the print date coming up, Elton has already started planning articles to run in the edition. The Independent is no stranger to guest editors. [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bono[/lastfm] was a guest editor in 2006 and raised money to fight AIDS in Africa.
