Beastie Boys “Fight For Your Right”… REVISTED
When we’re bored, sitting at the office, watching the clock tick slowly to 5 o’clock, it’s amazing how often we’ll flip on the TV and pop in our VHS of [lastfm link_type="similar_artist_radio"]The Beastie Boys[/lastfm]‘ “Fight For Your Right” video. It can turn any weekday into a Friday night. The bosses magically disappear, the booze begins to flow, and the there ain’t no stoppin’ til Brooklyn.
But – as always – the music video ends, we turn our computers back on, and we buckle down to get to work. It’s sad. We stare at the black screen of the television for the rest of the day, wondering:
“What happens to those guys after the party?”
We sit there and wait as the pictures fades on Mike D’s Mom getting a pie in the face. MCA and Ad-Rock are passed out and the guests have supposedly left.
What kind of cliffhanger is that?!
Thanks to the powers that be, Adam Yauch (Ad-Rock) will be directing a short film called “Fight For Your Right Revisited“. The tagline is: “After the boys leave the party.”
As if that weren’t enough, the stars are coming in throngs to appear in the film. Already confirmed are Seth Rogen appears as Mike D, Elijah Wood as Ad-Rock, and Danny McBride as MCA.
Also confirmed are Will Ferrell, John C Reilly and Jack Black.
The film will premiere at the Sundance Short Film Festival, which runs from Jan 20-30, 2011. Until then, we only have this:
