[Video] Bono Invites Blind Audience Member To Play Guitar Onstage

Great news, everyone! Rock Stars are still capable of surprising us with random acts of kindness. Bono is no exception.

At [lastfm link_type=”similar_artist_radio”]U2[/lastfm]’s Nashville, TN concert, magic happened. A man in the front row had been holding up a sign “Blind Guitar Player, Bring Me Up!” for hours. At the end of the show, Bono reached down and did just that.

The lucky fan played rhythm guitar while Bono sang “All I Want is You.” Together, they rocked the sold-out show with the most thrilling kind of encore. How often does a superfan get to play with their favorite band?

Afterwards Bono escorted the young man back to he seat. When the young man offered the guitar back, Bono refused and told him to keep it as a souvenir.

“It took me a second. I had no idea what was going on because in my mind they had left and walked off. I had no idea Bono was still there. Instantly, I was lifted over that front rail and hoisted on stage by the security guards. Before I knew it, I could hear Bono’s voice saying, ‘what do you want to play man?'” – Adam “The Luckiest Man Alive” Bevell
