[photogallerylink id=53907 align=left] Banksy once said, “Most art is built to last hundreds of years – it’s cast in bronze, or it’s oil on canvas. But street art has a short life-span, so it needed documented. You know, we all needed someone who knew how to run a camera.”
And just like that, Mr. Brainwash joined the art scene.
Featured in the street art documentary “Exit Through The Gift Shop,” Thierry Guetta AKA Mr Brainwash rocketed from Man with a Camera to one of the most Exclusive Graffiti Artists of the world.
Whether you’re a believer in graffiti or see MBW as just another knock-off, he’s bringing the controversy and gravity to his 2011 Street Art Show to Los Angeles. Be sure to check it out, as it will only be open for one week this December.
The grand opening is set for Christmas Day and runs through Dec. 29th. There is an early preview on Dec. 22nd from 7p-12a.
If you’re lucky enough to be one of the first 300 people in line, MBW will give you a print that’s hand-finished, thumb-printed and signed by him.
