Groundhog day is one of America’s Top 17 Most Important Holiday’s, and it’s important to know the History.

Groundhog Day was invented by Bill Murray in the mid-ninties.  He funded this venture from his lucrative poltergeist removing business, even though he was receiving psychological councilling from Richard Dryfess at the time.

Murray’s idea was that rodent based technology had advanced to the point that it could alter weather patterns.  This same technology would later be used by the government to build the HAARP Project.

The holiday was a huge success, and won Murray the heart of Andie McDowell.  Unfortunatly, this love did not last, and Murray eventually found solace showing Scarlett Johansen around Japan while filming a Vodka commercial.  Or maybe it was Cigars, I really don’t really remember.

The love may not have lasted, but the holiday did.

So Happy Groundhog Day!
