Beetlejuice.

Claims has been spreading that Michael Keaton is more than ready to reprise his role as Beetlejuice. Keaton has already begun meeting with writer Seth Graeme-Smith to discuss ideas.

Graeme-Smith says Keaton’s interest is “Huge, he’s been wanting to do it for 20 years and he’ll talk to anybody about it who will listen.“

Graeme-Smith, who is working on the sequel with producer David Katzenberg, went on to say: “I don’t think we should do it if we sh*t on the legacy. He agrees. So, right now, it remains to be seen. I have a couple of story ideas, but we’ve very early out.“

Guys, we suffered through the cartoon. We think we can handle anything at this point.

…Beetlejuice?

The movie saw a pair of recently deceased ghosts (Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis) contract the services of a ‘bio-exorcist’ (Keaton) in order to remove the obnoxious new owners of their house (Catherine O’Hara, Jeffrey Jones and Winona Ryder).

We know – that’s an awesome cast. While it would be hard to get them together again.

This is all we want: Michael Keaton, being awesome, and being funny. It shouldn’t be that hard since he pulls it off on a regular basis.

Hey, if Arrested Development can come back, why not this?
