If you were a fan of good films in 1988, you might remember seeing one of the biggest, best, summer blockbuster comedies to ever hit the big screen. And after you left the movies, ticket stub in hand, you may have gravitated to the nearest payphone to call your friend to say, “Hey! I just saw the funniest movie! Wanna go see Big next weekend?”
Because no one in their right mind was going out of their way to pay ten bucks to see Twins in theaters… and that’s just the kind of moxie Hollywood wants to bottle up for the 2013 sequel, featuring original twins Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito… with their long-lost triplet, Eddie Murphy!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal and Montecito Picture Co. are in the midst of developing the follow-up, brilliantly titled Triplets (ouch). The second installment would remain true to the Twins universe - Schwarzenegger and DeVito as brothers Julius and Vincent, conceived experimentally, who discover they have third sibling, Murphy.
Bring it on, Hollywood. We dare you.
