In honor of Mad Men finally being back on the air, we’re devoting this edition of Best in LA to our favorite man of mystery: Don Draper. We’ve got you covered if you want to drink, smoke, and womanize your way through LA …in a classy way of course.

HMS Bounty Bar - The most swingin’ bar in Koreatown! A few scenes in Mad Men were actually filmed here! Red leather booths and a jukebox stocked up with 45′s make the Bounty feel like more like a time machine than a bar.You can rest assured that you’ll look the part while imbibing large quantities of whiskey in this joint. Actually you probably won’t. You’ll more likely look like a drunken idiot. We’ve tried keeping up with Don’s drinking during an episode and that man has the alcohol tolerance of an ox.

Los Angeles Athletic Club - Don hasn’t been swimming as frequently in recent episodes, maybe he’s been too busy Zou Bisou Bisou-ing. That doesn’t mean that you can’t have the bodacious bod that any secretary would love. The LA Athletic club is another spot that was used for filming the show. Go ahead and take a dip in the gorgeous indoor pool. Or maybe sit in the sauna with half-naked elderly fat men. What would Don do?

Taix French RestaurantThe current incarnation of this provincial French eatery has been around since the 1960′s and continues to serve up classic fare. We could totally envision Don sitting down to some escargot and french onion soup with a client like Lucky Strike here. They also serve up some of the driest martinis in town, so you know Roger would have many a drunken luncheon at Taix.

L & E Oyster Bar- Who can forget the episode when Don sabotages Roger with a vodka and gin soaked oyster lunch?! You won’t lose your lunch like Roger, if you eat here though. L & E has fresh food, old-fashioned (but not hokey) decor, and a great wine selection. Good food, good booze: Probably the hallmark of any Draper-approved establishment.
