Since we’re so frequently asked about who sings “Closing Time”, we thought we’d give you a little background on the mystery band.

Semisonic is a three-piece alternative band from Minnesota composed of John Munson on bass, Jacob Slichter on drums and Dan Wilson on guitar and lead vocals. Although Semisonic isn’t technically broken up, lead singer Dan Wilson is still a predominate songwriter, writing songs for Adele, Weezer, and Keith Urban to name a few.

So we raise our glasses to Semisonic and their last call anthem “Closing Time” with the video and the lyrics below.
