While promoting his upcoming album, Apocalyptic Love, Slash has been fielding lots of questions about his former band, Guns N’ Roses, who will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 14. But what about his other band, Velvet Revolver?
Singer Scott Weiland and the band parted ways in 2008. Weiland returned to Stone Temple Pilots, leaving the band singer-less. Although VR and Weiland reunited for a one-off gig earlier this year, the band are still looking for a new frontman.
Slash recently spoke about the status of the band, and what drummer Matt Sorum and guitarist Dave Kushner have been doing while he is occupied with his solo album, and Duff McKagan fronts his other group, Loaded.
Slash’s Apocalyptic Love comes out May 20. You can read more about Slash’s take on Guns N Roses and Velvet Revolver in his book, Slash, and also read McKagan’s version of the stories in his book, It’s So Easy and Other Lies.
