Hey, when you gotta go, you gotta go. And apparently this 11-year old kid reeeeaally had to go.
On $36,000 worth of Macbooks.
Although we’re not quite sure how a kid can dowse 30 computers in urine. Must be all that milk.
The poor defenseless Macbooks were just sitting in a cart at the student’s school at Upper Allen Township Elementary.
Now, we’re not sure why anyone would leave a bunch of expensive laptops unattended in a school (those elementary kids are bad news). So maybe it served the school right.
Seriously though, how does a kid pee on 30 Macbooks?? Even if they were stacked 5 or 6 high, that still requires a lot of urine. And according to the police report, none of the laptops survived.
In case you’re wondering, no, AppleCare won’t cover urine-soaked computers. In fact, those Apple nerds won’t even touch the computer, since pee of any sort (human, dog, unicorn) is considered a “biohazard”.
Sounds like a flimsy policy to us.
As for the kid, he ended up being charged with institutional vandalism and criminal mischief…whatever those things are.
We may never know his motive, but we can totally understand where he’s coming from. We like to take a leak on the soundboard every once in a while.
