Have you ever tried doing a triathlon? If you have you realize how difficult a triathlon is, and how much hard work you have to put in even to complete it.
Now try to do the entire triathlon while juggling. That’s right, juggling while swimming, riding a bike and running. That’s what Joe Salter of Florida did. Becoming the first person ever to complete a triathlon entirely while juggling.
Salter juggled three balls while swimming a quarter-mile, juggled two balls in one hand while cycling 16.2 miles and finished the race off by running four miles while juggling.
All of this in 1 hour and 57 minutes.
Salter trained for ten month to get this momentous feat done and of course swimming while juggling was the toughest part.
“It’s difficult and complex,” Salter explained. “It takes a lot of work and you’re basically just using your legs. Plus, swimming in open water makes it harder. It’s not like in a pool.”
Biking was not easy either as Salter explained, “I was going about 17 mph and was surrounded by other competitors and I had to toss the balls from one hand to the other when it was time to switch gears.”
Salter is a beast, plain and simple.
Who cares if he didn’t win the triathlon, no one else did it while juggling, so it’s clear that Salter is the true winner.
We hope that we see Salter at the Olympic Games this summer in London juggling away. They would have to give him the gold medal just out of principle.
Joe Salter just showed the rest of the world that we all need to get on his level.
