What’re the most recognizable guitar riffs in rock’n’roll history? Well, that depends on who’s answering the question. The Rolling Stones’ “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”? Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode”? AC/DC’s “Back in Black”?

In a new viral video from a Chicago guitarist, equal importance is given to a number of classic riffs – 100 to be exact. Alex Chadwick, guitar expert at Chicago Music Exchange and independent singer-songwriter, gives viewers a rock’n’roll history lesson by seamlessly ripping through 100 iconic riffs in chronological order, in one single take. Watch below, and check out the full list of songs below.

By going in chronological order, Chadwick picks up on musical trends, moving from surf-rock right into the British Invasion and ’70s rock. It’s utterly mesmerizing, but it’s not the first of its kind: A lap around YouTube reveals a number of 100 riffs video. And apparently it’s not just a trend for guitarists.
