Who ever thought it possible that one can “find” $77,000 period, let alone “stumble” upon it in a park.

Oh no big deal, just taking a walk through the park and “come across” riches equivalent to more than I am worth.

Attention unemployed, homeless, those of you who didn’t win the JACK Fm Mega Man cave, and the rest of us: if you’re on a mission to score some dough, Fisherman’s Park in Bastrop Texas is the promised land.

The Goonies must have taught this guy a thing or two.

Timothy Yost, a homeless man in Texas, was heading towards the Colorado River to wash his feet and whatta ya know he found $77,000  just making itself comfortable.

A bag nearby contained 40 gold Krugerrand coins from South Africa as well as damp bills.

Yost, 46, tried to exchange the treasure at a bank and was told to wait until the damp bills dried. At this point our patience would have lacked intensely. The bank teller called the police who then placed the money in evidence.

An investigation was done by Detective Tamera Brown to find the origin of the highly valuable item. Under Texas state law a finder may be a keeper, as long as the original owner cannot be located.

You know what THAT means, DRINKS ON TIM!

Hell, dinner on Tim too. Maybe for the next few weeks eh?

Yost had been in jail Tuesday night for intoxication. He claimed that his first purchase would be a car.

Well first purchase aside from showering us here at Jack FM with gifts as if we were his honey.

Yeah, we can dream, but we’re not the only ones. Five bucks Timothy is still in disbelief. No make it $77,000 bucks for that matter.

As  the Texas town Bastrop recently suffered from a streak of wildfires, destroying 70 homes and 1.5 million trees in the area, Yost’s discovery offered some hope to the many who were not so fortunate.

Hooray for Yost, become his best friend, why not, can’t hurt.
