I know we’re all just waiting on the Dark Knight Rises at this point but there’s some decent cinematic fare in theaters this weekend. That is, if you like R rated teddy bears, a half naked Channing Tatum, or Neil Young.
Ted (R)- starring Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, and the voice of Seth MacFarlane
An R-rated Teddy Ruxpin voiced by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane AND Mila Kunis to ogle? I can tell you one movie that already has my 10 bucks.
Magic Mike (R)– starring Channing Tatum, Olivia Munn, the McConaughey
Guys, before you skip right over this because its a male stripper movie, think about this. You never cook a pizza without pre-heating the oven right? Well, that same principle applies here if you’re savvy enough to put it together. Ladies? Enjoy yourselves.
Neil Young Journeys (PG)– starring, well, Neil Young
If you like Neil Young, go check out this doc centered around his show at Toronto’s Massey Hall this past May.
Tyler Perry’s Something Awful (Rated B for Barf)– starring Tyler Perry, Denise Richards, and the tiredest joke in the history of ever.
God. If you really plan on going to see this, or any Tyler Perry movie for that matter, I fear for your very soul. Tyler Perry is to comedy what polio was to FDR.
The trailer for Liam Neeson’s Taken 2 also hit the interwebs here recently and alls I got to say about that is OH HELLS YES!!!!!!!!!!
and coming soon……
July 3rd- the Amazing Spiderman (PG-13)
