Bob Dylan isn’t wasting anytime in getting his new music to the masses. Hot off the announcement that his 35th studio album, Tempest, will be released September 11th comes the news that Dylan will tour arenas this fall in support of the record. Full list of tour dates is below.

Joining him on the road will be former Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler, who just last year toured Europe with Dylan. During those shows, Knopfler often sat in with Dylan’s band and dueted with the music legend. The pair first worked together on 1979’s Slow Train Coming and 1983’s Infidels.

Dylan is currently touring Europe with his band and kicks off a North American leg of tour dates on August 14th, playing smaller cities throughout the East and Midwest until September 9th. He’ll take a month off from the road – likely for a little Tempest promo – and start his big arena tour of North America on October 5th in Winnipeg. The trek, Dylan’s first arena tour since 2006, ends November 21st in Brooklyn.

Tempest features 10 new originals and production from “Jack Frost,” a known pseudonym Dylan has worked under since 1990’s Under the Red Sky. It serves as the follow-up to 2009’s Together Through Life, a No. 1 album in the U.S. and abroad. Just this year, Dylan was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, our country’s highest civilian honor, for his influence on American culture at large.

Tickets go on sale starting next Friday (July 27) for fall shows through October 19th.
