Look no further space cases, alien hunting just became a whole lot easier, in Scotland at least.
No need to cover your whole body in aluminum foil either. Say hello to our friend ET for us!
Located in Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh, the prestigious Edinburgh University offers free online courses for a search for extraterrestrials.
Included in these alien hunting courses is “Astrobiology and the Search for Extraterrestrial Life.” When contact with another planet and its inhabitants occurs, for only those who have not taken this course, shall perish. The course will allow us human mortals with the ability to explore life on planets similar to our homefront, containing possible civilizations similar to our own.
According to The Huffington Post, the idea of Earth-like planets in orbit around additional suns, has grown, due to the success of NASA’s Kepler space observatory. These planets are thought to have the potential raw materials to create a big, bad empire like that of planet Earth.
It has been discovered by the Kepler website, that 1,790 host stars with a total of 2,321 planet candidates have been detected via telescope, with 74 planets confirmed.
Edinburgh University’s five week course led by astrobiology professor Charles Cockell, starts in the fall and will contain the following:
Week 1: The definitions of life and how it originated on Earth.
Week 2: Early Earth environments when life first emerged and the various evolutionary transitions of life on Earth.
Week 3: The prospects for life elsewhere in our solar system and the required conditions for a planet to be habitable.
Week 4: How to search for Earth-like planets orbiting distant suns and how to detect possible life there.
Week 5: How earthlings would be impacted by the discovery of an extraterrestrial intelligence.
You may often ask yourself the following: Who am I? Where do I come from? How are babies really born? Where are those damn aliens hiding?
Well no need to question your existence any longer, as this course will answer all of your deepest darkest curiosities.
We come in peace.
