While a massive DUI checkpoint bust was set in place this past weekend, the result was indeed effective.
According to Beverly Hills Patch, it was reported Monday that 550 arrests of drunken and drug-impaired drivers took place. From a mere two-day span, the “Avoid the 100” campaign involved 100 deployments countywide.
Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
If you think you were fortunate, think again because the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, along with the Avoid program, will continue to maintain extra DUI checkpoints in the upcoming days.
These checkpoints are scheduled in the following Los Angeles County cities: Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, South Pasadena, Long Beach, Whittier, Norwalk, El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Bell Gardens, Torrance and Inglewood always up to no good.
The best is yet to come with the California Highway Patrol’s “Maximum Enforcement Period” set for Labor Day weekend. During this period, the streets will be flooded with 80 percent of the CHP’s officers. Where’d all these killer whales come from?
Jack FM always has your back, unless you misbehave, then of course the CHP will take care of that.
